Preventive maintenance

Preventive maintenance consists of periodic verification and fine-tuning of the different elements that make up a computer equipment or network. It is important to note that a large percentage of the problems that arise in daily work are due to the lack of a specific maintenance program for the equipment and the network, so most problems are solved with the same preventive maintenance procedure.

The corrective service of an equipment is performed occasionally or when a technical failure requires it to solve hardware operational problems, or change or installation of new components that affect the operation and performance of the equipment.

Likewise, we can divide corrective maintenance into two subtypes, which are:

Corrective maintenance

Corrective maintenance refers to the activities that must be carried out immediately, since some team that was providing a vital service has stopped doing so for some reason and we must act urgently and in the shortest possible time.

Scheduled corrective maintenance

It is what is carried out when the decision is "not urgent", and postpones the execution for the most opportune moment and with the most appropriate repair.

Maintenance services are conceptually included within the Incident Management processes, but their specific weight within INGBAR's business areas has made it necessary to mention them in a separate point.
